We managed to get photos of the official tokidoki store in Milan (thanks to my friend who is in there right now) to share with all of you. At the moment there’s only one official tokidoki store and it’s right in the heart of Italy’s fashion capital. A must-visit for all tokidoki fans if you ever visit Italy!

The front of the store has the usual window display but you can see right through to the back of the store! I think it’s not that big but a comfortable size for all the tokidoki goodies that you can (and will) buy.

A quick glimpse at the mini display unit right in front of the window display. There are toys, skate decks and even the tokidoki + LeSportsac bag in Vacanze print!

The interior of the store is covered with various tokidoki illustrations and characters from the tattooed Japanese girls to mini standees of Mozzarella, Bruttino, Ciao Ciao etc. Of course it is also filled to the brim with all the available tokidoki European collection apparel.

Besides clothing, you can also find the tokidoki + LeSportsac bags as well as the ‘EU-only‘ bags seen in the photo below - camo print, vinyl print and the Adios star print bags.

Apparel-wise, this is the place for all the European collection items we mentioned previously as well as the gorgeous tokidoki jeans! Check out the inside of this pair that the mannequin is wearing.

They also have a display case of tokidoki watches.

Finally, here’s a glimpse of the first edition Qee bear that came with a tiny Simone Legno figurine - displayed in the store!

Every month we will feature ‘10 Creative tokidoki Photos‘ taken by fellow Tokidokizens all over the world. Last month we kickstarted the series off with a variety of tokidoki toys.

This month, we’re going to throw the spotlight on one of our favourite tokidoki characters, Sabochan. She’s one feisty girl all dressed up in her pink cactus suit and we love her to bits here at Tokidokizens!

What we really like about this next photo is that instead of just taking Sabochan next to the box, the box serves as a gorgeous backdrop! Plus really nice and soft lighting and you get a lovely photo.

In this next photo, Sabochan seems to be surrounded by her fellow cactus (and labbit) pals! But somehow it seems more like she’s marshalling her own army of friends against evil. Interesting isn’t it?

I think the angle of this photo is quite unique, especially with Sabochan standing on the light source. The effect makes her look quite menancing don’t you think?

It’s the start of another week here at Tokidokizens and finally we managed to set some time aside to shoot some photos of the tokidoki Miao for your viewing pleasure. If you remember, we managed to purchase one from Earthx about a week ago - right before the Singapore Toy and Comic Convention. And boy were we lucky, because by the next day (morning) the tokidoki Miaos were all sold out! Not hard to see why as there’s a limited run of 500 pieces WORLDWIDE from the creator Zakkamono. Simone Legno is the first artist to design exterior of the Miao.

The packaging is pretty big due to the blister pack inside, but its pretty robust (just don’t go banging the box everywhere). Graphics on the box shows the Miao’s front and back as well as addition illustrations from the same theme (PUNK ROCK~!) with razors, pins, vinyls and the skull/heart + crossbones logo. In any case, we took no time in unpacking the tokidoki Miao and its companion Mousubi from the box and here it is!

It is currently the biggest toy in my collection - Miao stands at 7″ tall, Mousubi comes in at just under 3″. Being inspired by the Japanese lucky cat (or maneki neko), the Miao stands on a pair of Japanese clogs with its left hand held in the ‘welcoming luck’ position - those in Asia will know what I mean! Of course with a cat, you’ll need a mouse and Mousubi fits just that role pretty well. The Japanese influence continues as Mousubi is actually a Japanese rice ball (or onigiri) with a pair of ears and a cute wavy tail!

Wow check out what we saw whilst surfing through Flickr - a tokidoki diary that’s only available in Italy! The lucky fan (reggaedori) received this as a gift from her mum (they recently went to Italy). Nice!

We love the tiny embroidery details stuck onto the diary and there’s even a pocket on the back! It’s just so sweet and cheery. Inside there’re even more tokidoki character illustrations on various pages of the diary. It’s so yummy that we actually wished we were in Italy now shopping for it! Quick grab your friends who’re in Italy (specifically Milan) and let them know that you love tokidoki and you would really love a present from the store…

I really like this image because of the contrast between the tokidoki dunny and the white cat figurine in the background. You can see the detailed print on the dunny pretty well and she seems to be going ‘Ooo! I better smile for the camera!’

For something really Japanese in flavour, you can’t run away from this image of the 3″ tokidoki ‘Tuki-za’ trexi set in front of a very traditional tokidoki Japanese design. There’s a certain sense of peace and serenity coupled with the tokidoki cuteness.
