Spreading the Tokidoki Love across Asia-Pacific and the world!

If you were at the SDCC this year and passed by the Hot Wheels booth, you might have caught a glimpse of this toy Volkswagen bus customized by tokidoki. Colorful and quirky, the bus comes complete with its own funky passengers as well!

Not too sure if they were put up for auction or just for display, but we did see Simone Legno customize a couple of such VW toy buses when he was in Singapore for the STCC this year.

P.S. LAST DAY to bid on Tokidokizens’ first ever tokidoki eBay auction! Check out this really sweet tokidoki Cloudia watch (in pink!) and we’re starting the bid at USD 99cents, so get into the action now!

2008 is not over yet and tokidoki has already released a sneak glimpse of what’s to come in 2009 - the tokidoki Cocommando series! Unveiled at the STRANGEco’s booth @ the San Diego Comic Convention 2008 recently is the first from the series - Captain Coco! He looks quite sweet with his half-coconut helmet (big head!), checkered ‘camo’ uniform (check out the tokidoki logo badge of honor!) plus a gutsy grenade companion shaped like a pineapple.

(tokidoki Cocommandos - they don’t monkey around for sure!)
I’m loving every bit of the tropical references, and it’s only upon closer inspection that I realised Captain Coco is actually a monkey! Ahhhh… *hearts*

Wouldn’t it be great if Simone Legno actually made a tank that Cocommandos can fit in? We’ll be keeping our eyes glued for more news on the tokidoki Cocommando series and Captain Coco - so if you don’t want to miss out on the latest news about him, make sure you subscribe to our email updates today!

The San Diego Comic Convention has started and we at Tokidokizens are trawling the WWW to find out how’s the event like on the ground. If you are lucky enough to be able to go for the event, drop us a comment here to let know! In the meantime, here’s our pick of what tokidoki toys you should get your hands on at the SDCC 2008!

I can write about this to death… but you absolutely have to get your hands on the Silver version of tokidoki Bulleto! *hearts*

Our little poll on our sidebar shows that this is THE toy that most of you would go for at the SDCC and I totally agree! Irresistable and beautiful with the Japanese graphics, how can you not get the tokidoki Geisha?

I personally prefer getting the tokidoki Kaniza over the Dunny or even the rest of the Silver range of Cactus Pups or Sabochan as it’s something we’ve not seen previously.

Finally the new arrival - the tokidoki Tiger in 4 colours! They will be released for sale at the SDCC itself so it’s definitely the best time to get your hands on them… =D

We are (sorta) counting down to the San Diego Comic Convention 2008 (happening in two weeks time!) where a slew of exciting and exclusive tokidoki toys will be released at various parts of the Con. So in the spirit of things, here’s a little poll to start off the countdown. We’ve stuck it on our sidebar so that you can find it easily at all times. It’s all for fun, so get voting people! =)
*edit - there’s a bit of a bug happening with the poll so please go to our sidebar to vote!*
P.S: Fellow Tokidokizen Aglaé Caroline (from Brazil) wanted to find out where she can get tokidoki apparel in Italy. We did a quick search online, and updated our “Where to buy tokidoki” list with a few places that you can find tokidoki stuff in various areas of Italy. Do continue to let us know where we can buy tokidoki items at your part of the world!
