Spreading the Tokidoki Love across Asia-Pacific and the world!
We’re excited to see tokidoki’s Fall/Winter 2008 collection trickling into various parts of the world! We’ve seen sneak peeks from Chicki of a couple of new jackets coming in, and now Crim Shop in Italy has kindly let us know that the new arrivals are already in their store and they’re quite gorgeous!

I am totally drooling over this beautiful tokidoki Jacket! Classy and definitely suitable to wear on any cold winter’s night (or when you’re on a back of a motorcycle!). Details of the jacket comes in the form of the tokidoki logo on the zipper pull and you can always fold up the collar to cover your neck - nifty for protecting yourself from the wind! Crim Shop also has other new tokidoki apparel for men and women as well as accessories like bracelets and necklaces.
Whilst looking at the new arrivals, we decided to take a visit to tokidoki’s Europe store and they have already updated it with the Fall/Winter collection (yes, we know we can’t shop from that store but ‘window’ shopping is always fun as well~!) Just check out the new tokidoki jeans, tees and jackets! tokidoki did not leave out the guys in their latest collection coz we spotted this really irresistable tokidoki Jacket for the guys:

Military-inspired with roomy pockets all over the front, this tokidoki Jacket looks simple and understated on the outside, but check out the funky interior! You can also find embroidered patches (smiley bullets on the top right pocket, tokidoki logo on the left) that adds on to the military feel of the design. Definitely suitable for daily wear - I would if I could fit into it!
Yesterday we mentioned the Chicki sale to clear some space for the new tokidoki items that will be coming into their store this September/October. Vicky has provided us with some sneak peeks - tokidoki Stationery and a couple of interesting tokidoki Jackets - and we’re pleased to be able to share them with you. So before you go off shopping this weekend, here are the goodies you can be expecting really soon!
First up the tokidoki Stationery - according to Vicky, there will be a NEW RANGE coming up in September. These are made by the same people who did the gorgeous Italian tokidoki Diary/Journal. The upcoming items will include notebooks, folders, journals, pencils, pens, erasers and of course pencil sharpeners!
If the Italian tokidoki Diary is anything to go by - you can be sure to expect loads of gorgeous, intricate details for the new range. Yummy! We’ll definitely update you once we got more information (and hopefully pictures!) of the new stationery. Here are the photos of the current range - always good to share!

(tokidoki Notebooks with the iconic Japanese girls)

We think the idea of seeing Bastardino and Polpettina plus the other tokidoki characters on top of a pencil is just so cute! It’ll make me happy to be writing with these pencils for sure! Even the stands they’ll be sold on looks yummy as well… Check out the tokidoki Pencil Sharpeners! LOL I want the Adios Bomb version to grace my table!

(The erasers are so sweet! Love the one featuring Mozzarella!)
Apparel-wise, Chicki will also have the upcoming Autumn/Winter collection - which includes jumpers, tees and these tokidoki Jackets - sometime in October. We are not able to show you what the entire jacket looks like, but here are two swatches you can expect from the range:

(A familiar favourite! tokidoki Tutti Print)
Hope you’ve enjoyed all these tokidoki visual goodness - us Tokidokizens sure did! Have a good weekend - Buona fine settimana!
(Do check out Part One if you haven’t done so!)
After yesterday’s exciting post, what else do we have up our sleeves? Well, loads more and they all involve tokidoki! We had popped by Queen’s Couture, located at the Heeren shopping centre, just last week and after three hours at the shop, our bag of tokidoki apparel goodies continues right now!
Besides t-shirts, the store also stock jackets and outerwear from the tokidoki Europe collection. The European collection may be a little bit more pricey compared to the US collection (that we’re more familiar with) but it is definitely worth every single bit of your money just based on the quality and detailing alone.
Take this snug-fitting jacket for example, the zipper pulls are not your usual flat versions but it is the tokidoki logo of the heart and crossbones. Sweet!

They also have jackets that are made of water-resistant material like this camo-print one below. The same attention to detail applies but instead of having the tokidoki logo as the zipper pull, they added it into the standard zipper pull instead.

What I really liked about this jacket was that the moment you open it, you’re suddenly faced with a very dramatic LA/guns print on the inside! Just where you’re not expecting it (considering the outside design is much less flashy) and it was a great visual treat for us.

Here’s another one we saw that we liked as well - it is more like a biker’s jacket, a bit more padded and with a water-resistant outer layer, but more flexible to move around in. The tokidoki logo is embroidered onto the left sleeve and the inside print features the Japanese girls with diamonds (all in various shades/hues of pink). Quite comfortable piece this is, but I think it would probably be better for cooler climates (or when you go travelling to temperate countries) as it can get quite warm quickly.

Otherwise, you can consider this windbreaker instead! There’s no extra layers on the inside, it has a cinched back so that it’ll fit you to a tokidoki “T”! Love the pink zippers, pink threading, pink tokidoki logo…

Then we get on to the hoodies… for both the girls and the boys (the one on the right)

These would be great for us because we can always wear it wherever there’s air-conditioning.
Now on to our favourites from the store (hee hee). This top below is definitely one of them ‘coz one of us bought it in the end… We love the ‘turtleneck’ with the pearly yellow buttons on the side, we love the print which features adios star and the funky safety pins and we definitely love the colour! Great with a pair of tight-fit dark-coloured jeans. It also comes in a purple print version (but the person who bought it prefers the grey one)

Otherwise this would be our favourite for the guys! It’s actually the only tokidoki knit wear that we saw at the store and its so gorgeous!

The ‘debossed’ tokidoki logo on the front coupled with the same logo embroidered on the left sleeve again and the inside is such a burst of tokidoki pattern! Too bad it doesn’t fit (once again) otherwise I believe it would be the second piece of tokidoki apparel we would buy…

Special thanks to Queen’s Couture for allowing us into their stores and photographing all these beauties just for you!
Whew! That’s the end of our tokidoki Great Singapore Specials, hope you enjoyed it, have fun shopping and do drop us a mail with pictures of the stuff you bought!
In the spirit of the Great Singapore Sale, here at Tokidokizens, we bring to you the Great Singapore Specials featuring nothing but tokidoki apparel! Last weekend we decided to pop by Queen’s Couture (located on the fourth floor of Heeren) to check out their tokidoki collection. Imagine our delight when we saw that they had some of the latest designs available!
As they are located in Singapore, Queen’s Couture is able to get tokidoki apparel from both the US and Europe which explains their huge range of tokidoki products in the store. In terms of pricing, the apparel from US are slightly less expensive compared to the Europe range. However the Europe collection features more interesting materials, a much better quality overall and it somehow makes you feel that it is worth spending that bit extra.
They had a variety of tokidoki t-shirts for us girls, like this cutesy ‘wrestler’ on an Italian scooter (the Vespa), the fierce looking diamond, Japanese girl with a tiger and the Cactus version of Adios with a rocket pack:
:

Not only that, we also saw more fitting tops and singlets as well with a variety of designs like these ciao ciao, adios prints seen here:

Or these really cool tokidoki prints where you have the ‘vinyl records’ design, the LA/gun design, and the ‘camo-esque’ mix of the Japanese girls together with the cutesy characters (close up of the print on the right of the image):

This above design also came in the form of tights though they were already sold out when we were there. I just think it’s so awesome to be wearing tights of this particular pattern… hehehe
Okay it’s not all just for the ladies, for the guys Queen’s Couture also has quite a bit of variety when it comes to tokidoki as well! Check out their stacks of t-shirts with designs ranging from the simple ‘heart and crossbone’ to more elaborative prints all over:

My personal fave is this particular print from the men’s tees: tell me how PUNK/ROCK/FANTASTIC can this be!! Saw the gun prints in the background? Well they’re repeated all over the entire tee, giving it such a bad boy vibe! *hearts* I was so tempted to grab one for myself (even though I don’t fit into it… too big!) and wear it somehow… else I’ll just keep my fingers crossed and hope they released a ladies version.

There are just so many items we saw at Queen’s Couture (one of us even bought a top after testing it out!) that it is impossible to squeeze them all into one post. So stay tuned to the second part of our Great Singapore Shopping special tomorrow, where we have more tokidoki goodies to share with you!

Wait a minute… is that a tokidoki jacket I see in the window?
Exciting right? ![]()
